Introductory Notes

The introduction mostly sets up the background of the story and sort of gives you a feel for the matieral that your going to be reading
The chorus commentates all the actions of the plays and they say what they believe is right or what they believe. They explain the characters and why the characters do the stuff that they do. A good example is like John Madden was he commentated ever play that he watched when he was NFL commentater.
The dramatic irony is when the readers know what is going on but the characters dont. For example when Oedipus killed his father we know that he did it at the time but Oedipus doesnt know. Also when he marrys his mother we know what he has done but the people in the play dont.
